Service Members who are called to active duty or who are required to report for military service while enrolled at Lewis and Clark Community College should present documentation of their orders to the Enrollment Center prior to leaving for duty. Every effort is made to assist service members in deciding to withdraw or pursue Incomplete grades for coursework to be completed by a later date. Tuition charges are refunded if a service member chooses to withdraw because of military service requirements. Lewis & Clark has an open admissions policy. Service members can re-enroll upon their return and are re-admitted at the same academic status prior to their withdrawal. Alternatively, at the time of readmission, Service members may submit documentation of military service that necessitated the student's interruption from the school.
(Subpart B 34 C.F.R. 668.18)
No notice is required if precluded by military necessity, such as service in operations that are classified or would be compromised by such notice.
